OVERVIEW
Thomas Nagy Ltd. has been engaged by Yunex Traffic to deliver ongoing critical upgrades to traffic enforcement cameras across London and throughout the UK, including high-traffic routes such as the A14 Barnet High Road.
These works involve the installation of state-of-the-art Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology to enhance road safety, strengthen enforcement capabilities, and reduce traffic violations.
As part of a wider and continuing programme, these improvements support the modernisation of outdated infrastructure and ensure compliance with evolving traffic control and safety standards nationwide.
Improved traffic monitoring across multiple sites throughout London and the UK.
Installed cutting-edge ANPR enforcement cameras in just 3 weeks per location.

CHALLENGES
Aspects of the project required the removal and replacement of legacy or vandalised cameras that were no longer fit for purpose—many of which failed to deliver reliable image capture for enforcement.
Given the importance of maintaining traffic flow on Barnet High Road, all works were carefully scheduled outside of peak hours to avoid disruption.
The project also demanded rapid installation without compromising on precision or quality, as well as coordination across multiple London sites as part of Yunex Traffic’s ongoing enforcement technology rollout.
Zero disruption to traffic flow, thanks to strategic out-of-hours installation.
20% faster installation times through streamlined planning and execution.
RESULTS
The new ANPR enforcement systems now provide clear, consistent image capture and enhanced reliability, resulting in a measurable drop in traffic violations along Barnet High Road, as an example.
The technology enables real-time identification of repeat offenders, helping to improve compliance and road safety for both drivers and pedestrians.
The projects are delivered on time, with no unplanned disruptions to traffic, and have received positive feedback from the London Borough of Barnet for impact on road safety and enforcement efficiency.
Ongoing contracts to install and maintain enforcement cameras across London.
Upgraded outdated or vandalised systems with high-performance, tamper-resistant equipment.
Thomas Nagy Ltd. remains committed to implementing innovative solutions that promote road safety and community well-being.
